New Discovery 00051

“On the way to the…” office, I passed by Red Big Bowl. This is my first time to order here. The resto is a bit new, and according to the staff, they serve Singaporean dishes.

Back-To-School, Victorique 00050

This is my 50th post, a tribute to Victorique. When I started Photoparjour, I thought that it’s going to be easy posting a photo on a daily basis. But since I include more than a caption or two, I can’t just post any photo. Also, some days are really full of errands and other things that creativity must be shelved for a later date. So sit back and relax and enjoy Victorique.

School started early for B last June and since then, she’s been busy with homeworks and quizzes among other things. But on weekends, she can watch and surf the internet to her heart’s content as long as her homework’s done.

Gosick is her (and mine) current fave anime. We watched it together, since the anime’s plot can be a bit mind-boggling for kids.

The one on the photo is Victorique- the protagonist in the story. She stays most of the time in the library which was really a tower. Hubby says that its his dream home- a tower filled with books! So going back to the protagonist, she is known for her intelligence. She also likes solving crime mysteries. During the first few episodes, Victorique is all dressed-up in a black dress (B said that she wanted to cosplay with that costume) ala Victorian Era.

Alas, not all good things last long. The anime ends after 24 episodes only. BTW, Gosick was first introduced as a Manga before it was made for the TV. First episode aired January 8, 2011 and July 2.

Listen to Destiny Histoire, the official OST.

This is my “I Wish” post …

As a kid, I used to tickle this Buddha so that when he will laugh. And when he laughs, it will bring laughter in our home. Laughter is synonymous with joy. And a joyful home equates to a happy family. When a family is happy, it is blessed spiritually, mentally and materially.

And that is my wish … to have a joyful home always. And I also wish the same for B when she grows up and have a family of her own.

A Night Of Music 00048

My cousins and I barely made it to the CCP last night because of traffic, rain, and parking! Then, we can’t go to our seats since the show already started so we were asked to just sit on the available seats during the first half of the show. But all-in-all, it was a rewarding experience.

I particularly liked the set from “Evita,” “Cats,” and my all time fave- “Phantom of The Opera.” Latest fave is the set from “Joseph and the Technicolor Coat,” which was part of the Finale. Of course, it reminded us of B’s Repertory performance last summer.

And yes, the last song from the Finale was, “Love Changes Everything.”

Then after the show, we had “A Night of Food” at The Aristocrat.

Ordered Chicken Barbeque, Crispy Pata and Canton Guisado. We were also celebrating Papa Ding’s (R’s dad and my ninong) birthday. We exchanged many memorable stories about Aristocrat, the highlight of which was how Papa Ding and Mama Lu used to go out on a date in this resto, and being assisted by their fave waiter. The set-up of the resto was very different during their time- think Parisian Cafe’s. I don’t even remember Aristocrat being like that so that’s really way, way back in time.
